Girls Leadership Empowerment for Advancement in Myanmar(GLEAM) Project – Maple Garment Factory
With the support of Plan International Myanmar, PPLF is implementing the Girls Leadership Empowerment for Advancement in Myanmar(GLEAM) Project at Maple Garment Factory to improve the well-being, empowerment, and protection of young women and mothers working in the garment sector. The project focuses on creating a safe and supportive working environment through initiatives such as safe spaces for women and children, parenting support, and access to early childhood care and development (ECCD) services. In addition, the project promotes gender equality and leadership among young women through capacity-building activities, while also enhancing their access to career guidance, life skills, and livelihood opportunities. By engaging both female and male workers, the GLEAM Project aims to foster inclusive workplace practices, strengthen protection mechanisms, and contribute to improved productivity and social responsibility within the factory setting.
